Winchester School Committee Approves Three Student Trips and $2,000 Donation in Three-Minute Session

WINCHESTER — January 14, 2026 — Winchester School Committee approves three student trips and a $2,000 donation in a three-minute meeting. The committee convened at 4:00 p.m. on January 14, 2026, and adjourned at 4:03 p.m. after unanimously approving a consent agenda that authorized the WHS Bella Voce ensemble to travel to Providence, Rhode Island, to perform the national anthem at a Boston Bruins game; the WHS Math Team to attend the Brown University Math Olympiad in February 2026; and a biennial WHS Spain exchange trip also scheduled for February 2026. The committee also formally accepted a $2,000 donation from the Winchester School of Chinese Culture to the Vincent Owen Elementary School. Approval of minutes from the June 12 and November 20, 2025 meetings was removed from the consent agenda and tabled to a future date. The next School Committee meeting is scheduled for January 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Winchester High School.
