WINCHESTER — The Winchester Select Board tabled a vote to renew Town Manager Christopher Senior's contract through December 31, 2027, after Vice Chair William McGonigle's motion got no second. Members Michelle Prior and Michael Bettencourt wanted Senior's self-assessment and new performance goals reviewed first; McGonigle called the added condition outside the signed contract, warning the board was "retrading on the deal." The board voted 4-0 to set June 30, 2027, as the deadline for retirees to vest in the town's Medicare Part B reimbursement, and voted 4-0 to endorse seven Community Preservation Act-linked projects, including the Nutile Field master plan and Tri-Community Greenway work. Town Planner Taylor Herman presented a $116,135 downtown wayfinding signage plan with no funding request attached.
The board also appointed Akshada Ladwa to the Cultural Council and reappointed Julia Osbourne to the Permanent Street Tree Committee, both 4-0, while continuing a Long Range Financial Planning Committee seat decision to August 24.
