WINCHESTER — Select Board votes to extend Town Manager contract through 2027. In other business, the board unanimously approved removal of a public shade tree at 612 Main Street after DPW staff determined root damage created an accessibility hazard, despite resident objections over loss of shade coverage.
The board also unanimously accepted a $13,720 EEC Stabilization Grant for childcare, waived the 15-day waiting period for three new employees (Joseph Amaro as Firefighter, Steven Bolduc as DPW Foreman, Branka Bujisic as Pre-K Director), appointed Brian Grantez and Sachin Mallya to the Energy Management Committee, and designated Vice Chair William McGonigle to a Planning Board working group on retaining wall zoning amendments.
