Planning Board · Meeting of June 9, 2026

Winchester's Planning Board let the town planner administratively revise the 10 Converse Place special permit after finding a developer's unit-mix change insignificant. Member Keri Layton argued the shift, which cuts three-bedroom units by more than half while adding two-bedroom units across the 34-unit project, deserved a public hearing, saying "I just think we should have a public hearing." Member Amy Beliveau called herself "a hesitant yes" after initially voting no. The board also continued a special permit hearing for a 72 Main Street apartment building to June 16 over unresolved accessible-parking and buffer-zone questions, and unanimously recommended favorable zoning action on single-family rebuilds at 17 Dick Street and 189 High Street.
