Winchester Committee on Community Preservation deemed seven applications eligible for funding. Chair Christina Marshall led the committee through review of eleven initial grant applications for Community Preservation Act funding, approving projects including the Forrest Ridge public park tree canopy improvement, Leonard pavilion expansion, two accessory dwelling units on town housing properties, Nutile Field ballfield improvements, the Packer Ellis Round 3 capital project, historic column restoration at Mystic School, and the Sanborn Carriage House restoration. Two tree preservation applications were deemed eligible pending further development.
Three applications were referred to Town Counsel for guidance on maintenance versus restoration definitions. The final application deadline is June 15, 2026.
