Winchester Committee on Community Preservation approves 2026 application schedule
WINCHESTER COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY PRESERVATION · Meeting of January 21, 2026
Winchester CPA sets 2026 funding schedule, rejects preset spending cap. The Winchester Committee on Community Preservation voted unanimously to establish a 2026 application timeline: initial eligibility applications due by mid-April with a public hearing in February or March, final applications due June 1, an eight-week review, and an early-August vote. Chair Christina Marshall said the committee would finalize its capital coordination plan in March but declined to commit to a fixed dollar amount for capital projects, instead letting community applications drive the fund.
Marshall also noted that if a town override passes, annual preservation funding would increase by $200,000. The committee is recruiting a CPA Administrator.
