Trust Authorizes Settlement Talks Over Mt. Vernon Litigation

Winchester housing trust advances Mt. Vernon settlement. Chair Marty Jones was unanimously authorized in executive session to finalize negotiations with developer Urban Spaces.

The proposed memorandum of understanding calls for $1.685 million in payment and three affordable units at 80 percent area median income in place of the $2 million payment in lieu originally required. The Trust voted unanimously to continue pursuing litigation while settlement negotiations proceed, maintaining its legal position as talks advance.
