Retirement Board elects Frary as chair, approves January payroll

Winchester Retirement Board names Robert Frary chair and John Parsons vice chair. The board unanimously approved a January 30 retiree payroll of $985,234.83 and expenses and transfers totaling $35,037.97, which included travel reimbursements for board members Frary and Parsons. Retirement Administrator Alice Munafo briefed the board on Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission guidance on cost-of-living adjustments and compensation limits; the board scheduled a COLA vote for March.
The board acknowledged the death of Fire Department retiree Edward Murphy on December 11 and directed staff to update the Assistant Retirement Administrator job description for submission to state and local officials.
