PSTC approves prior minutes, sets goals subcommittee ahead of override vote
PERMANENT STREET TREE COMMITTEE - TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE · Meeting of February 20, 2026
WINCHESTER — Permanent Street Tree Committee approves January minutes and discusses override funding. Chair Austin Whitman reported the Select Board voted to support an $11.5 million override that includes $50,000 for the tree program in FY2027 and $100,000 each in FY2028 and FY2029, slightly below Whitman's original request. The committee formed a goals subcommittee including Whitman, Tracy Olson, Philip Tegmark, Thomas Moore, and Sustainability Director Ken Pruitt to develop specific recommendations for Spring Town Meeting.
Whitman proposed using initial FY27 funds to hire a consultant to draft a comprehensive plan rather than hire staff immediately.
