Planning Board defers Loring Court bond release, shapes 40B commercial design.

PLANNING BOARD - TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE · Meeting of January 6, 2026

WINCHESTER — Planning Board advances opinions on 40B mixed-use project after design scrutiny. Chair Brian Vernaglia and the board unanimously approved exterior elevations dated April 28, 2025, for Melanson Development Group's 278 and 292 Washington Street and Swanton Street proposal, a 60-unit rental building with commercial space. The board also unanimously encouraged the developer to lease commercial space to retail uses serving neighborhood needs and requested final elevations for review.

A separate bond-release application for the Loring Court subdivision was postponed pending resolution of an easement question.
