Winchester Planning Board approves regulatory waivers for Mount Vernon Street housing project. The board voted unanimously on August 4 to approve six waivers for a mixed-use development at 10-16 Mount Vernon Street, clearing the way for a third story with four new residential units and approximately 2,500 to 2,800 square feet of additional floor space. The proposed floor area ratio of 2.5 matches the maximum permitted under special permit, as presented by attorney Joseph Tarby and principal Jack Leavitt.
The board also approved special permits for a single-family reconstruction at 189 High Street and an accessory dwelling unit at 208B Ridge Street, and accepted Town Planner Taylor Herman's annual performance evaluation.
