HISTORICAL COMMISSION - TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE · Meeting of April 6, 2026
Winchester Historical Commission voted to impose 12-month demolition delay on Harrington Road property. Chair Bruce Hickey and the commissioners voted unanimously to find the 90-year-old "Blodgett House," designed in the 1930s and home to only two families over 90 years, historically significant and subject to the delay after hearing neighborhood testimony in support of preservation. The commission also provided recommendations to the Planning Board on 910 Main Street emphasizing preservation of the existing structure; voted unanimously that a 17 Mason Street dormers expansion negatively impacts historic resources; and voted 5-1 that a Winchester Country Club addition poses no negative impact on historical resources.
