DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE - TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE · Meeting of August 5, 2026

WINCHESTER — The Winchester Design Review Committee unanimously rejects Ridge Street accessory dwelling proposal. The committee voted on August 5 to recommend approval with conditions for reconstruction at 189 High Street, where Jamie Devol recommended contrasting trim if black windows are used, a lighter roof color, matching garage and entry roofing, and wider shed roofs with brackets. The committee also reviewed a sign-rebranding project for 279 Cambridge Street for a 7-Eleven conversion without objection.

The committee voted unanimously against a two-story accessory dwelling unit at 208B Ridge Street, citing concerns the design inadequately addressed existing landscape conditions and failed to connect architecturally to the adjacent 1893 main house.
