DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE - TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE · Meeting of July 8, 2026

Town Planner recommends deferring Mt. Vernon Street recommendation to August. The committee met July 8 to review four downtown design applications.

The Town Planner recommended deferring the recommendation on John Leavitt's Special Permit application for 10-16 Mt. Vernon Street after determining the design contains virtually no changes from previous submissions despite violating Center Business District regulations and having been previously rejected by the Planning Board. Committee members also reviewed revised plans for 189 High Street, requested opportunity to examine structural engineer's documentation for 540-542 Washington Street, and noted color improvements in 17 Dix renderings while maintaining concerns about property frontage.
