Design Review Committee approves three applications with conditions.

DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE - TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE · Meeting of April 1, 2026

WINCHESTER — Design Review Committee approves three applications with design modifications. Acting Chair Ellen Spencer flagged an incomplete demolition-and-reconstruction proposal at 910 Main Street for lacking required historic preservation documentation under the Main Street Mixed-Use District bylaws, specifically a Massachusetts Historical Commission Form B and a preservation scheme for the 1860 house. The committee unanimously approved a Site Plan Review and Special Permit at 17 Mason Street on condition that the third-floor dormer be shortened and repositioned, with owner Stuart Long accepting the modification.

A Special Permit for an addition at 4 Arlington Street (WCC) also passed unanimously, with a recommendation to better integrate the old and new sections.
