Design Review Committee approves Norfolk Road expansion with conditions
Design Review Committee split on Norfolk Road expansion while rejecting Hemingway design.
DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE - TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE · Meeting of October 7, 2026
WINCHESTER — Design Review Committee split on Norfolk Road expansion while rejecting Hemingway design. The panel voted 5-2 to approve a site plan for a large addition at 4 Norfolk Road that will include an accessory dwelling unit, conditional on the applicant submitting elevation drawings to address concerns about the building's apparent mass. Members Eileen Casciari and Juli Riemenschneider voted no.
The committee unanimously approved a wall design for 39 Town Way and voted unanimously to recommend against a residential project at 67-69 Hemingway Street, where front-facing garages remained too prominent despite design revisions.
