WINCHESTER — Conservation Commission abandons Forest Ridge acquisition after binding property sale. Chair Tracy Olson reported that the property, previously under negotiation with current owners, now has a buyer under binding contract, forcing the Commission to withdraw from WCCP, Land and Water Conservation Fund, and Land Grant applications. The Commission voted unanimously to halt the grant process and will instead request that the new owner place a Conservation Restriction on the wetlands and buffer zone portions, though surveying and appraising costs for the restriction would require separate funding.
