Affordable Housing Trust approves $2M payment from 33 Converse development.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST COMMITTEE · Meeting of March 11, 2026

WINCHESTER — The Affordable Housing Trust unanimously approved a $2,000,000 payment from the 33 Converse development, payable 90 days after certificate of occupancy. Chair Marty Jones, with board support and Town Manager Christopher Senior abstaining, committed to writing the Town Planner to clarify payment terms, after the Housing Partnership Board disputed Town Counsel's position that a hybrid approach combining affordable units and cash is impermissible under zoning. The board also authorized extension of a consultant through RFP preparation for 160 Forest Street at $230 per hour with a $3,000 cap, and received updates on Waterfield Commons and Washington Swanton Street projects.
